HOW TO | TAN WITHOUT BURNING
The obvious way to prevent a sunburn is to apply sunscreen & avoid spending too much time in the sun; but, if you’re looking to “catch a tan” this probably isn’t going to do that for you.

There are however, some ways to tan without burning your skin, & these are mine:

1. Always protect your face by wearing sunscreen and/or a hat.

2. Apply sunscreen to your body only on the areas that tend to burn (think shoulders or right where your swimsuit meets your skin.)

3. Apply tanning oil only to the areas that tend not to burn.

4. If you feel your skin starting to get too hot or it begins to look red, apply sunscreen.

5. Limit the amount of time you spend in the sun. Bring your phone out & set a time limit.

6. If you plan on spending a long amount of time outdoors, take a step inside periodically (if you can.) If your skin is beginning to look red at all, apply sunscreen.

7. When it’s time to come back indoors, cool your skin down with a cold shower or…

8. Apply aloe vera gel or an after sun lotion.
