Face Serum Recipe
Easy Peasy Face Serum
This recipe:
2 oz Jojoba Oil
8 drops Lavendar
5 drops Geranium
8 drops Frankincense
1/4 of a dropper is enough for your face, chest, and neck
Carrier Oils – vegetable oils derived from the fatty portion of a plant, usually from seeds, kernels or nuts. Carrier oils are used to dilute essential oils to prevent skin irritation or reactions or to give greater coverage when applying on the skin.
Oily Skin: jojoba oil, argan oil
Combination skin: jojoba oil, argan oil
Dry skin: shea butter, cocoa butter, argan oil, rose hip oil, avocado oil
Aging skin: argan oil, rose hip oil
Other carrier oils sweet almond oil (great for body), grapeseed oil, olive oil, coconut oil
Essential Oils – distilled from the leaves, bark, roots and other aromatic portions of a botanical. Add them to your current moisturizers, cleansers or toner or make your own with the recipes below.
Oily Skin: Orange, Lemon, Lime, Bergamot- photo sensitive, Geranium, Cypress
Breakouts and blemishes: Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree Oil), Purification, Lavender, Geranium, Vetiver, Patchouli (can be applied straight as a spot treatment)
Dry Skin: Cedarwood, Geranium, Myrrh, Sandalwood, Palmarosa, Roman or German Chamomile
Aging Skin: Lavender, Frankincense, Tangerine, YlangYlang, Patchouli, Cypress, Sandalwood, Rose, Palmarosa
Combination Skin: Lavender, Bergamot, Patchouli, Orange
Acne scars, red marks, dark spots: Lavender, Frankincense, Lemon
