How to Make Face Cream
Hello everyone and I’m wishing you a very Merry Christmas! Today I’m showing you how to make a basic , ALL NATURAL, face cream. I chose rose as the scent today because it’s a very light scent and will go on well during the day. This is made up of 2 base ingredients and these are water and oil. Now everyone knows that water and oil don’t mix so we need to use something to bind the two together and I’m using emulsifying wax NF.

Steps:
1. Measure out your oil (1 tbsp) and e-wax (1 tbsp) into the same bowl and set that aside.

2. In a different bowl, measure 2 tbsp of bottled water. If you use normal tap water, there is a chance that the impurities in the water can spoil the cream.

3. Place a small about of water into the bottom of a saucepan and bring to a gently boil. Put both of your bowls into the saucepan. If your bowls a big, you’ll need 2 separate saucepans and just balance the bowl on top.

4. Once the emulsifying wax has melted, it’s time to take the bowls off of the heat and transfer them into another bowl. First pour in all of the oil phase and then the water. If you do it the other way it can wreak it. When you stir it you’ll notice it starts to turn a creamy white colour and that it will thicken as it cools down. This process can take up to 10 minutes depending on how much you make.

5. When the cream is nice and thick you can add all you extra things. You’ll need to add a tsp of grapefruit seed extract or citrus seed extract to the mix to preserve it. Since there’s water in the mix, it can go off quickly without a preservative. I’m also going to add about a teaspoon of natural vitamin E oil for nourishment and extra preservative and finally the rose essential oil.

6. Spoon the mixture into small jars and then tap the jars on the bench to remove air bubbles.
